Thanksgiving

This year Thanksgiving is scheduled for Nov 26th and I really wanna celebrate it this time. I would actually cook Thanksgiving dinner, but our place is somewhat to small to host the amount of people needed to eat a whole turkey.
To be honest, I really wonder why Europe has not yet taken over the tradition of Thanksgiving, since it would be another occasion for people to spend their money on "thanksgivingy" stuff.
I already checked if 1516 is doing Thanksgiving this year and yay! - they are.
So now I just need a few friends to join me...

Sesame Street: Elmo's Song

Peter just LOVES that one. No wonder, such a catchy melody.

Sesame Street: Feist sings 1,2,3,4

I had not known that singer before having watched the video, but I just love her voice and singing style.

Who(m) was I kidding???

Seriously, how on earth could I think of writing another blog having a baby and a toddler around?
Two children are a lot of work. The washing machine is full twice a day, and that almost every day, I'm really tired of all the little things you have to do to keep the household going.
Moreover, out of financial crisis, I got myself a new job. It's in the Albertina, a famous Austrian museum, even visited regularly by celebrities such as Brangelina. I really needed all the energy I could come up with to keep myself from asking about how often exactly Brad drops by during my job interview. I thought my boss can learn about my Brad obsession later.
So now I'm working in the museum's gift shop which is very different to my last job, where I was called asshole by the customers quite often. The Albertina clientele is so much more sophisticated.
The best thing about my job is that I get free tickets for all the exhibitions, not only for me, but also for friends and family. And all the things in the shop come with a 30% discount for me! Yeah!

Life with children is actually good, Johanna has reached an age where she is getting cuter by the minute. She doesn't sleep through the night yet, so neither do I.
Peter is a smart little boy and very sweet with his baby sister, not jealous at all. He keeps bringing her toys and binkies and she smiles every time he gets near her.

Peter has discovered Sesame Street the other day, so I let him watch a few videos on youtube. I post his (and my) favorites here, have fun watching!

Couldn't help but post...

Age 3: She looks at herself and sees a Queen.
Age 8: She looks at herself and sees Cinderella.
Age 15: She looks at herself and sees an Ugly Sister (Mum I can't go to school looking like this!)
Age 20: She looks at herself and sees "too fat/too thin, too short/too tall, too straight/too curly"- but decides she's going out anyway.
Age 30: She looks at herself and sees "too fat/too thin, too short/too tall, too straight/too curly" - but decides she doesn't have time to fix it, so she's going out anyway.
Age 40: She looks at herself and sees "clean" and goes out anyway.
Age 50: She looks at herself and sees "I am" and goes wherever she wants to go.
Age 60: She looks at herself and reminds herself of all the people who can't even see themselves in the mirror anymore. Goes out and conquers the world.
Age 70: She looks at herself & sees wisdom, laughter and ability, goes out and enjoys life.
Age 80: Doesn't bother to look.
Just puts on a purple hat and goes out to have fun with the world.

I recognize myself in every stage, don't you, ladies?

Same procedure as every year

I'm done, I'm really done being pregnant! I post a video of FRIENDS here, just as I did last year around that time, when I was tired waiting for Peter.

Enjoy!

No exam for me...

Well, the day of the exam came, but I had to stay home, for obviosly had some kind of food poisonig. No details, but I tell you I visited our toilet more than once that morning. Was very glad to have my mother take care of Peter, because I wouldn't have managed it. Peter is at a stage when he is crawling everywhere, taking things out of drawers and very demanding.
My belly is getting bigger and bigger by the minute and I cannot imagine not go on like that for five more weeks.
So, there are still two more exams waiting for me before I can say that the semester is really finished for me.
"Luckily enough", a lot of my colleagues chickened out and didn't go to this exam, so I won't be totally alone when I do it sometime in March.
